Vanessa Oakes trained as a theatre designer before working extensively in scenography, community arts and arts administration. Film; An Act of Life (NM&AG). Audio; The Sitting, Before the Deluge & A Letter Home (NM&AG). Current projects include; dramaturg for The Piano Room (Symphony Hall, Birmingham) and a new play for Theatre in Action (Glasgow).
