Tom, a dramatist from Sheffield, has worked in both theatre and film.
For Theatre; In 2007 his adaptation of ‘The Fox’ a novella by DH Lawrence was produced at the Arcola Theatre in London, where he also had a rehearsed reading of his play ‘Vicious Sunshine’. Previously as part of the Lost Theatre Festival his one act play ‘American Shuffle’ was produced at the Riverside Studios London.
Tom also contributed to the play ‘Tube’ at the Union Theatre London.
For Film; He’s recently been commissioned as a screenwriter by Poached Creative to help in the production of a short film ‘Hackney Hounds’, a project working with disadvantaged kids. Last year his screenplay ‘Greg and the Luck Factory’ was produced and in 2000 he won the Croydon Clocktower Film Award for Writing.
In the 1990’s Tom designed and programmed lights for multimedia events. He has an MA in Biblical Studies and currently works as a trainer in the charity sector.
His latest play ‘Chosen’ is about the addictive power of idolisation dramatised within the context of a religious cult.
