Phill graduated from the University of York in July 2017 with a BA (Hons) degree in Music. Alongside his degree he was involved in a number of productions including operas, plays, festivals and musicals, first in technical roles but later became interested in producing. He produced two musicals over his course of study, COMPANY at the John Cooper Studio Theatre (formerly Upstage Theatre) and ANYTHING GOES which had sold-out performances at the Joseph Rowntree Theatre. He has worked on two new-musicals as Technical Stage Manager with Central Hall Musical Society York that premiered at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, WONDERLAND: A NEW MUSICAL (2015) and A TALE OF TWO (2017).
In October 2017, he was accepted on to STEP (Shared Training and Employment Programme) run by A New Direction in partnership with the London Legacy Development Corporation. He began his first placement at Sadler’s Wells as Producing & Touring Intern and after six months he continued as Visitor Experience Intern.
When out of the office, he loves going out for meals, watching new plays and musicals and trying to come up with the West End’s next big hit!
Phill joined Paines Plough in April 2018.
