David Watson was 17 when his play JUST A BLOKE was produced as part of the Royal Court Theatre’s Young Writers Festival 2002. In 2007 David’s play FLIGHT PATH was produced by Out of Joint / Bush Theatre (London and U.K. tour) and in 2008 ANY WHICH WAY had an acclaimed run at Only Connect Theatre. In 2010 David’s play PENNY DREADFUL was the only piece by a male playwright to feature in the Women, Power & Politics season at the Tricycle Theatre and his play PIECES OF VINCENT was staged at the Arcola Theatre. David was the Pearson Playwright in residence 2009 / 2010 at the Lyric Theatre Hammersmith. David has twice been the recipient of a Children’s BAFTA (2008 and 2010) for Best Secondary Learning Programme for episodes of L8er (Hi8tus/ BBC).
