Miran Hadžić was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, which was at the time a part of the former Yugoslavia. His family moved to London in 1992 at the outbreak of war. He has grown up in London, where he still lives. His credits include: HAPPY (opening 20 pages), Omniwrite, Clapham Omnibus (2015), THE DAY AFTER (THEY WENT OFF ON ONE), VAULT 2015. Received a nomination for an ‘Origins Award for Outstanding New Work’, THE LOVE AND DEVOTION OF RIDLEY SMITH, Old Red Lion (2014), TOOLBOX (short), Invertigo, Pleasance Theatre (2014), I STARTED A FIRE (short), The Miniaturists, Arcola (2014), FERAL (short), Winner of RedFEST, Old Red Lion (2012).

His work has been longlisted twice for the Bruntwood Prize. He was a finalist for Invertigo Theatre’s search for a Writer-In-Residence and his short play FERAL won the Old Red Lion’s new writing competition, RedFEST, in 2012.

Miran was a member of the Forum for Young European Playwrights at the 2014 New Plays from Europe Festival in Wiesbaden, Germany. He is a part of Tamasha Writers Collective and is also an Associate Writer at Clapham Omnibus. He has recently completed an invitation group with the Royal Court.
