George was formerly Co-Artistic Director of nabokov with James, and Trainee Associate Director here at Paines Plough.

Directing credits include SEAWALL by Simon Stephens (The Bush), 2ND MAY 1997 by Jack Thorne (nabokov/Bush), TERRE HAUTE by Edmund White (nabokov, 59East59 Theatres New York, West End, National Tour and Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh Festival Fringe), IS EVERYONE OK? and PUBLIC DISPLAYS OF AFFECTION by Joel Horwood, EVERY BRILLIANT THING by Duncan Macmillan, and CAMARILLA by Van Badham (nabokov).

As Trainee Associate Director of Paines Plough, directing credits include HOUSE OF AGNES by Levi David Addai, THE DIRT UNDER THE CARPET by Rona Munro, CRAZY LOVE  by Che Walker, MY LITTLE HEART DROPPED IN COFFEE  by Duncan Macmillan and BABIES by Katie Douglas.

George has also directed work by performance poets and comedians including John Osborne and Laura Solon, as well as working with the National Youth Theatre, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Birmingham Rep, The Actors’ Centre, Ransom Productions, Belfast and Watford Palace Theatre.

George trained as Trainee Associate Director of Paines Plough and Watford Palace Theatre, on the National Theatre Studio Director’s Course and at the Maly Theatre in St Petersberg with the Young Vic, from whom he was also the first recipient of the Genesis Director’s Award.
